As a GC, I have worked very closely with Karen on several high-profiled, award-winning restaurants. Each project had its own unique set of issues due to existing site conditions/limitations, municipality & AHJ restrictions and budgetary constraints. Her designs were always mindful of these problems and she had thorough game plans in-place to work around the concerns prior to start of construction, and more importantly, prior to becoming an expensive oversight.
