I don't usually write reviews online, but in this scenario it's warranted. I had the best experience visiting Guitar Center yesterday thanks to Joel and Alex. I know close to nothing about guitars, but was set on getting my fiance a new guitar as his wedding gift next month. Joel immediately offered his expertise. He educated me (without mansplaining) and took the time to help me select the perfect guitar. It didn't stop there. The only guitar they had in stock in the style we selected was the floor display that had minor scratches and dents. I recently sold some audio equipment at Guitar Center and Bella made the whole process easy. She tested the equipment for me and showed me how to check everything, got me the best value for my stuff, and even hooked me up with a great discount on the controller I’d been saving for. Even went above and beyond with letting me take the DJ controller out of the box so I could be sure that this was the one I wanted. And it was. Also want to add that she was super knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely relatable — no sales pressure, just a real human conversation. The rest of the staff were helpful too, but Bella was the standout. Total rockstar.
When I spoke with the music program director he offered he wise counsil but what was more important to me was the way he listened intententionally with the goal in mind and at hand to comprehend.
