Dr Tomas & staff were all terrific, starting with Alina in the time before I arrived, making me feel right at home. I am now 2 months out from the no mesh surgery, and all is going good. If you have any kind of hernia, I highly recommend U First Health - this is "The Place"! I flew in from Hawai'i and am glad I did. The process from the initial phone call, to the post op appointment after surgery has been a dream. The team makes you feel right at home and thoroughly answers all of your questions. The best way I can describe it is a well oiled machine. The appointments are fast and well planned. The doctors and nurses are compassionate and thorough. Everyone there has a level of confidence that makes you feel at ease. We left every appointment laughing with a smile on our face.
It’s hard to find a facility that offers a no mesh repair in the US, but if you or someone you know is needing a hernia surgery, I would highly recommend them! They even partner with a local hotel that shuttles you to and from appointments to take the stress of rental cars/Ubers off of you.
I had my open right inguinal hernia repair done June of 2021. I am writing this on 9-8-2026. Since then I have had absolutely no problems whatsoever with the repair! From strat to finish, from the over the phone conversation setting up the appointment to the flight to Ft. Myers and pick up at the air port to the excellent organization with motel room accommodations to the assignments of a nurse to aid me with buying whole foods, assisting me with medicine directives to meeting me post op and picking me up and driving me back to my motel room, giving me post op instructions and checking on me after I few home was absolutely stellar, top notch care!
