I recently visited the Ritz-Carlton Spa in Fort Lauderdale and overall had a pleasant experience. The spa itself is beautiful, and I especially appreciated the warm welcome and professionalism of the representative at the front desk, who made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived and upon exiting.
That said, there were a few details that took away from what I expected to be a luxury spa experience. While relaxing in the lounge, I could loudly overhear staff conversations from nearby areas, including some complaints and work-related discussions. I had a really wonderful experience at the spa relaxing before and after my treatment. I only went into the sauna and it was great (hot, spacious, and nice with the glass surrounding it). I was there on a Monday so it was peaceful and not super busy. I had Phu for my massage and he was incredibly kind, highly professional, and very skilled. I would happily go back to him in the future if I'm down in the area for vacation again. After the massage I was able to relax in the lounge, eat some healthy snacks and have some tea, and I ended up falling asleep with a cozy blanket for about a half hour. My experience with Deema, is always a great one. I came in for my birthday on Monday September 1. I have had the pleasure of having her 2 consecutive years.
After my service, I hung out in the sauna, and stem room. While in the restroom the spa supervisor abruptly knocks on the door, asking if anyone was in there (I had the faucet running, so clearly someone was occupying it). She then says that people walk out and leave the water running..Really?
In addition for the 2nd year in a row, I requested to purchase the signature body wash that I used after my body treatment, in the treatment room and the spa front desk, and attendants have no idea, what I'm talking...read full review
