My full time residence is in Georgia, so I have left much of the autonomy to Joe and have been pleased with his decision making and dedication to our cottage. Joe has a special ability to visualize ideas and communicate them clearly. His suggestions, both large and small, have helped shape our cottage into a quaint, airy space that my family will enjoy for years. He and his staff have consistently shown a high level of responsiveness and respect throughout the entire process. Since I was a little girl, I've watched my Dad pour himself into every project he was given. His attention to detail, and effort to meet each client's desires, were always an example to me of how business should be. The homes and business buildings my dad (and his team) bring to life, are treated as if they were for his own home or business. The results of this meticulous and passionate approach, are nothing short of perfection!

I hired this company for a 2 bed room 2 bath renovations. This should've taken 4 months it's now going on almost a year and the job is still not completed. The quality of work is poor and there is always an excuse as to why the job is not completed. Once the funds was collected it seemed as if Frank Smith didn't care about completing this project.

Awful customer service!!!! I called to get a quote for a bathroom remodel and scheduled an appointment a week in advance. I waited all day. No one ever showed up, and to make matters worse, no one ever even called. I called in and explained this and did I get an "I'm sorry about that, sir" ...NOPE. He just said, "We have someone in the area, I'll tell him to come by." Having waited ALL DAY, and expecting company in the next half hour, I said "No, this is not a convenient time for me." Did I get an, "oops, I'm sorry. I can reschedule the appointment?" ...NOPE AGAIN. I got an "OK. I'll let them know you will be going with someone else." Stunned by this complete lack of care about any shred of customer service, I said, "um, ok. I guess I'll let others now that you don't want my business." "OK bye," said the asian-sounding man that took my call. That was it. Took a day off of work to wait for these "professionals" that couldn't care less about my business. Wow, I'm still stunned by the lack of professionalism. Would highly recommend not wasting your time with these clowns.

I recently encountered a complicated issue when refinancing my home mortgage. With only a week away from my deadline, I contacted J.F.Smith Design & Build, Inc. and explained my dilemma and time constraints.The following day Mr. Smith personally inspected my home. His extensive knowledge and experience as both a general contractor and architect allowed him to quickly recognize the true problem, explain it to me in terms I could understand, and he was able to resolve the issue in just a few days. I really appreciate his promptness, professionalism and fair pricing, and would highly recommend his services.

Do not do business with this company. He rips people off and does not do what was promised.He has no concept of time and of people, his work is shoddy and he is unprofessional.Beware!! You will be disappointed.
