    The staff at the reception desk are very friendly. You are greeted by either a receptionist or veterinarian technician when you enter Fort Lauderdale Veterinary Care. The receptionist or veterinarian technician will clearly demonstrate they are thoroughly capable of receiving you and your pet for whatever reason you are there. If you have an appointment, the staff will recognize your pet's name right away. If you do not have an appointment, the staff will register your pet quickly. The reason for my most recent visit to Fort Lauderdale Veterinary Care was to see if the doctor would agree to prescribe Chloe anti-anxiety medication, ahead of our cross-country trip... read full review

    I received extraordinary care for my cats by Dr. Gonzalez for several years. The staff were knowledgeable, skilled, friendly and demonstrated care for my many critters that included follow up calls to check on their well-being post treatment. Dr. Gonzales consistently made himself available to care for my critters even when his schedule was full. When I eventually had to say goodbye to my elder feline Slinky, Dr. Gonzales was incredibly compassionate, and he handled my baby with tenderness and care all the way to the end.     In January of 2023 my Wife and I were told that our baby Ivory had 3 months to live. Then they told us that we needed to bring him to a vet close to home so that he could get treatment every 3 days. We then brought Ivory to Dr. Javier. The staff was so caring and compassionate and he loved seeing them. During the initial exam and 1st treatment they took blood. Dr. Javier called us and told us that even after his treatment his kidney levels got worse. He told us we could continue the Treatment as recommended by the Vet Hospital however its hard on his heart and his body and he would probably pass in a few weeks.
