Excellent care and reasonable solutions were provided for our English Bulldog , who has chronic eye infections .

Can’t recommend this place enough. They took great care of my Boston Terrier for a number of years and then performed his surgery when it was time to do it. He’s all healed now and doing great.

Brought my dog here in October 2025 for an eye ulcer. After spending several thousands of dollars, using countless drops, and putting her through multiple burr debridements, it finally “healed” in January.
On January 28, 2026, I was told the ulcer was healed, yet right after that visit her eye was red and she was squinting again.
When I called to speak to a doctor, the front desk girl casually told me, after asking a doctor who happened to be passing by, that the ulcer had re-opened. No urgency. No empathy. No concern. Just a casual response like this wasn’t my dog’s eye and months of treatment.
After months of procedures and thousands spent, they still couldn’t properly resolve it. I felt like they cared more about the money than my dog’s well-being.
I took her to a different clinic, and she healed in TWO WEEKS. No debridements done.
Also I was told that her cornea was inflamed and quite harmed after all the debriments and eye procedures she went through with Animal eye Guys.
I will never bring my dog back here, and I will absolutely make sure my friends and loved ones don’t either. Definitely do NOT recommend.

We originally started at another eye clinic in Deerfield beach that charged us lots of money for no reason to do 3 debrivments and still the ulcer remained after they told us it was going away after 2k was spent.

So we talk to Ginger at aeg after a visit there more and more money spent but no better news just want to go to surgery , these vets don’t want to help the dog!!!unless you keep paying and paying , and have no hardship or finance plan … Sry not for me !!! Thanks for nothing

Thank you so much, Dr. Proietto, for taking such amazing care of my cockatiel, Salty!! His right eye already looks normal again :) I had a fantastic experience at this Animal Eye Guys location and very much appreciated that Dr. Proietto was able to see Salty so quickly. My cat, Marshall Mathers, had uveitis which the doctor belived caused secondary glaucoma. The diagnosis was SECONDARY GLAUCOMA. That means that when the uveitis clears up, the glaucoma might as well. The doctor did not explain that part to me. I figured it out on my own being a human who reads and researches and knows the meanings of words. Well, the doctor said HIS ONLY OPTIONS WERE TO REMOVE THE EYE, OR HAVE HIM ON MEDS FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE.

I called several times and left voicemail asking if I could stop the steroid drop. No answer. My cat pushed me off one day months later while administering the drop. He told me no, and he had an ulcer almost the size of his eye. Our home vet cleared that up. I took him to this place a week after. They checked his pressure and it was fine. They also tried to get me to pay for another stain to check the ulcer I had already sent paperwork from our home vet proving they did the stain and he was clear. When I emailed confronting the doctor with this information and asking why they never responded to my voicemail about continuing the steroid that gave him the ulcer, or continuing meds on a secondary issue which may have been cleared, the doctor replied with denial, feigned ignorance, said maybe I called the wrong vet with my questions, and got defensive about her integrity. She basically flipped out and pulled DARVO like any narcissistic would, and tried to blame me for her lying on medical paperwork, upgrading his glaucoma to primary without ever knowingly testing him for it, and when his eye pressures were normal after the last test.

My boy takes ZERO MEDICATIONS, STILL HAS HIS EYE, and his vision has improved in the eye she said was blind. I don't know who these medical hacks think they are trying to always rip us off and now keep our pets on forever medications and doing unnecessary surgeries, but they are as bad as Big Pharma because they are actually one in the same.

DO NOT TRUST THIS DOCTOR AT THIS LOCATION. SHE DOES NOT GIVE YOU ALL OF YOUR PETS OPTIONS. SHE IS THERE TO SELL DRUGS AND SURGERIES, AND I HAVE HER EMAILS TO PROVE IT.

Overpriced, uncaring, and unresponsive. Enough said. Will never use these people again. Too painful to go into details. Stay far away from these people.

I had one of the most AWFUL experience with Animal Eye Guys in Fort Lauderdale. I rushed my 7-year-old dog here when I noticed signs of an ulcer in his left eye.

They prescribed FOUR different eye drops, all on completely different schedules, ranging from every 2 to 4 hours (this meant alarms going off in the middle of the night, felt like like a nurse on call) For two straight weeks, I barely slept and took PTO from work bc I had to administer medication around the clock while waiting for the lab culture results to see which medicine would even work...

After all that effort, they told me the LAB RESULTS were LOST and had to be done AGAIN. Two weeks of sleepless nights, nonstop alarms, and sacrificing my own job and my dog’s comfort — completely wasted. I even missed the NY trip for Thanksgiving with my family because of this nightmare. When the results finally came back, I found out that half the medications I had been giving him weren’t effective in the first place.... They never offered me a discount, an apology, or any sense of accountability.

Because of this negligence, **my dog’s ulcer wasn’t treated in time, and he ultimately had to undergo surgery and lost vision in his eye.** This was the most traumatizing veterinary experience I’ve ever had. I would never recommend this place to anyone who cares about getting urgent eye care for their pet.
