About Daytona Beach Resort & Conference Center

The Daytona Beach Resort & Conference Center offers a range of amenities, including three pools, one kiddie pool, and three hot tubs. Guests can enjoy a poolside bar and grill, with stunning ocean views. The resort is known for its cleanliness and family-oriented atmosphere. Despite some recent setbacks, including damage from a hurricane, many updates are underway to restore the property’s common areas. The building has a retro feel, reminiscent of Daytona in the late eighties, and the condo units are individually owned with modern, nautical-themed furniture. The condos are small but clean, with fluffy carpets, comfortable beds, and a very nice location right on the beach. Currently, the pools are closed due to hurricane damage, which is common for Daytona beachside hotels in recent years. Access to the beach is down the street, and the property staff are very helpful. Guests can enjoy their privacy, often going shirtless in the lobby without concern, and there is no harassment about service dogs. The shopping center across the street includes grocery, drug store, and department stores, making it convenient for visitors. Overall, the resort remains a good place to stay, especially as construction and repairs are ongoing to improve the property.

I booked a room here through Expedia/VRBO. On Expedia it does not mention a thing about one of the pools being shut down, the whole outside being a condemned construction site or how there is barely beach access.
My room itself was good. Clean, extra shampoo/conditioner, snack bag because it is owned privately through vrbo. Beach chairs, towel etc. The “Reflections” restaurant looks like it hasn’t been open for years. I assumed the construction was new and didn’t think anything of it until reviews went back to 2024 talking about construction and finding through others it’s been like this for years. Only one pool, coated in grasshoppers/locusts....read full review

I bet this place was awesome in it's prime. I would have loved to have seen it. But slow construction repairs after the hurricane have left it with a lot to be desired. One functioning outdoor pool, no tiki bar, no indoor dining, parking in an adjacent lot, beach access is through the public beach beside the building, seawall is still in progress, construction debris but no one was constructing, and its in dire need of a renovation. Check to see their progress on repairs/renovations before bringing the family to what could have been a very nice location.

I’ve stayed at Daytona Beach Resort dozens of times over the years, and overall it’s always been a great value. Since the units are individually owned and rented out as Airbnbs, some are definitely nicer and more updated than others, but that’s to be expected. Even with that, I keep coming back because the location is hard to beat. You’re close to everything, the beach access is great, and it’s usually one of the best values in the area for what you get. If you go in knowing each condo can be a little different, it’s a solid place to stay in Daytona.
