Sheridan House Family Ministries is a remarkable Christian organization that has been serving South Florida families and single mothers for decades. This Christ-centered ministry provides a wide range of support, from food and clothing assistance to counseling services and enriching programs. The dedicated staff at Sheridan House are described as the "salt of the earth," offering prayers, encouragement, and practical help to those in need. The ministry has been a blessing to many, helping single mothers transition from despair to abundance and empowering them to thrive. Sheridan House welcomes involvement from the community, whether through donations, volunteering, or participation in their annual "Goliath Gauntlet Challenge." This remarkable organization continues to make a profound impact, meeting the spiritual and practical needs of families across the region.
Yesterday afternoon, my company, ChenMed, shut down all our company locations to give back. Teams across our organization got to choose volunteer opportunities to participate in. The Office of CEO chose Sheridan House, which helps at risk boys and single moms. We helped the charity prepare for the annual Day of Blessing which helps over 300 single moms giving Thanksgiving turkeys with all the trimmings and allowing the women to choose a few new outfits of clothing. Part of our team helped in the charity boutique with preparing and hanging clothing, scarves and jewelry and then the rest cleaned and painted outside. What a fun way to give back, be a part of something greater, and build team!
