“I always book the first appointment available - highly recommended so you’re in and out fast. The location manager is really lovely and had fixed my first balayage there, her customer service and every service after was great. The colorist who I had for my first time did what I later learned was a partial balayage- not full- and let me walk out with orange-brown highlights basically. It wasn’t the color or style I expected or agreed upon but I had already been there so long and the place was busy so I left. The manager reached out and invited me back to tone it and blend it - if she hadn’t done that I wouldn’t have returned.

Today especially Andrea was the best colorist I’ve had- she’s very gentle and thorough, and made an effort to clean up around the edges which showed that she cares about clients. My hair wasn’t pulled once.

The color didn’t catch all of my greys but I’ll live. Worth going if you don’t have the patience and time to do it at home.

I did miss a month and read online that you can pick up a kit for yourself. I’d mentioned missing a month visit to the person who checked me in but they didn’t offer anything. All in all worth it if my greys get outta hand, I’ll probably stop dyeing.

I would skip the blowout- my hair was fried at the ends afterward. Understand that you can use their styling products and dryer at the end for yourself. The washing techs aren’t the most professional in being customer facing, not sure if they are supposed to massage the scalp for a certain amount of time or not, but we are given the to tip them at the end. They are intended to be efficient with their time to get to the rotation of customers, so do not except to linger or chat for long (totally fine by me)“

“It is very hard to find a truly skilled curl specialist. No joke. My curly /textured- haired daughters have schooled me on the techniques and products required. It's not cheap and you definitely get what you pay for. That said, you get more than you pay for at Maggie Rose. My son booked a Master first time curl shape session at their Davie location to revive his fried fro. The master stylist Josephine did a fabulous job. Plus, he was seen on time and in and out in 2 hours- which is really impressive. Expect to pay a deposit to reserve your spot and read the very detailed but clear booking instructions on their website. This is a no frills but clean and comfortable salon - in a strip mall- easy to get to off of University. No-frills perhaps, but excellent, pro service and you will be thrilled with the results! Book ahead as they appear to have only 2 main stylist at least at this location. Josephine was amazing.“

I had a hair emergency, trying to solve it, and also was in a hurry, the staff was outstanding! They were able to accommodate me in between appointments even though I was a walk in. Andrew, the hairdresser was very professional, knowledgeable and kind with me, even though my hair was a complete disaster when I came in, damaged, thin and very little hair,he was able to bring my hair back to life and looking as healthy as possible.
