we recently moved near joys of grooming and had an elderly matted, long hair cat - joy groomed her for us and she has been active and eating more and living her best life. so much so we have decided to adopt an 8 week old kitten who incidentally is riddled with fleas. we tried to bathe her with dawn dish soap but she began shivering immediately, after we got her dry and warm and happy, i texted joy at midnight on the weekend. she replied by calling to confirm the baby was safe, first and foremost because i mentioned she came down with hypothermia. i reassured her the kitten was safe and recovered but still covered in fleas, we were unsuccessful. she then face-timed me and unlocked her shop remotely so i could go in and gather some supplies and tools to help the kitten until she could see her first thing during the week. not only that, but when we brought the kitten in for a grooming session, she told us she would take care of her for free; she just wanted to do her best to get her healthy. I’m not telling you this so you can try to take advantage but I’m sharing this because this is a business that will always have returning customers because of things like this. they truly care for your pet as if they are their own. its scary leaving your fragile 18 yo cat and your fragile 8 week old kitten with a stranger for baths of all things, but im here to let you know that if you gotta do it, do it with joy. shes gonna be family after this. thanks for everything!
