The knowledge and skill within the salon is incredible! I've had my hair cut with a few team members, most recently Tiffini, and she did an amazing job! She isn't "scissor happy" and was a recommendation from the owner. I'll be seeing her again! I've been coming here for about a year or so and leave happy each time.

We drove 21hrs from StLouis & very tired. I am a licensed esthetician & nail tech myself, that being said, i am very particular about my nails. The owner does not have prices posted & she upt my daughters pricing at the end . During the service she kept making smart remarks about me finding more then 1 thing wrong & I had only one little bump that needed buffed out. Her customer service was not very comforting. In the end after 2 hrs which was exhausting i have great nails. But should not have taken forever.

I have mixed feelings about this salon since I am still left feeling baffled about my experience till this day. Here's my narrative... The salon itself is easy to find and inside - very clean, modern, and tidy. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and attentive to your needs which is always great. I had an appointment and I came in with screenshotted images of the look that I was attempting to achieve and gave Faraz, the stylist/salon owner, firm direction on the cut. He assured me that short cuts are his specialty so I felt like I was in good hands. I specifically said I did not want the top of the hair touched, just the back buzzed since I am attempting to grow out my hair without looking like I have a rattail in the process. During the cut I was perplexed. The usual salon banter that you experience with your stylist through the cutting process was very peculiar with Faraz. His sense of humor is interesting, to say the least. He fabricated stories and had me puzzled the entire time I was in that seat since I didn't understand his quirky sarcasm which apparently everyone at the salon was accustomed to. Honestly, I was not thrilled with my haircut because it wasn't what I was going for. What I wanted was Posh Spice and what I got was Peter Pan. He felt the need to even things throughout my head which led to me looking like a 12-year old boy. I don't think that he took my direction that well, instead he took matters into his own hands which in the end really bothered me. I thought I was very clear and I thought we were on the same page, but, we were in two different books. Towards the end of my cut, I felt rushed and a sense of oddity with Faraz which left me uneasy and uncomfortable. I'm not sure what shifted with his vibe or demeanor but I left the salon disconcerted. As far as pricing goes - my cut was $70 total, the obligatory 20% tip was $14, which then made the haircut $84. I was truly not excited to cough up the card since I wasn't satisfied with my end result but still, put a smile on my face. Usually, when you leave a salon with a fresh cut you feel like a million bux but I had the opposite effect. I couldn't wait to get home and put on a hat and crawl under a rock. In fact, I ended up buying a wig a few days later I couldn't bear to look at myself int he mirror. Sad to say I will not be returning to Bokka as I am left perturbed and slightly hesitant to get another haircut anywhere at this point. All I can say is I hope you all have a better experience if you decide to book with Bokka. UPDATE - Faraz gave me a call and I will be coming in to the salon within the next couple of weeks and we are going to turn this cut into something amazing so stay tuned for photos. He let me know that he received some devastating news during out first cut and that's why his vibe was off and that's completely understandable. I'm looking forward to seeing him again and seeing what he can do with this do. Second times the charm? Fingers crossed! He is a nice guy and I'm giving Bokka another shot.
