Wendy and everyone in the salon is very kind and treats hair with care. they can do any hair and give you more than what you expect. Best salon I have ever been to.

First of all, I want to start out by noting that I NEVER leave reviews much less a negative one. However, I feel compelled to leave one today after the treatment my daughter and I received. I am very disappointed with the lack of professionalism displayed by the owner, Wendy. My daughter went to her to get her very first haircut so it was supposed to be a special experience. Once we arrived home, the hairstyle completely fell flat. It was only then that we realized it was just a little bit longer than we initially wanted. So, I called to ask if she could just tweak it a little. She was very short with me on the phone saying we should’ve said something about it before. I explained why we hadn’t noticed it. I apologized anyway and even asked how much she would charge me. She didn’t answer. So, we went in and from the moment we walked through the door, she had a major attitude. I noticed but I wanted to just get this done and not start a scene since other people were there. She was very rough with my daughter and she even said “I noticed she doesn’t wear glasses so it’s not like she couldn’t see it yesterday.” Extremely rude and offensive especially because my daughter has pretty poor vision and DOES wear glasses (just not during the haircut). When she was done, I asked her how much and she dismissed me by saying “Good Day!” Suffice it to say, I will NOT be going back to her. Poor treatment for an expensive haircut with subpar results. She has an inflated ego and is extremely unprofessional!

Hands down Wendy/NY Dominican stylist is AMAZING. My niece HIGHLY recommended her as I was looking for someone new. I am ALWAYS skeptical about who cuts or treats my hair due to years of disappointments. Wendy is professional and has the utmost respect for her patrons. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxing. She was able to fit my son and I in on the same day. Mind you 2 very different textures of hair. The moisturizing treatment she did for my son brought LIFE and shine back to his curls. All I can say is "WOW" amazing with just 1 treatment. He's sold! My hair is long and has really thinned out over the years but here's the kicker... I've been letting it grow out with my natural grays for over 2 years now. What I ABSOLUTELY LOVED was that not once did she to try sway me to dye or cut my hair shorter. She treated my hair with gentle hands and listened to what I was working towards. She ensured to treat my once very curly hair to now straight thin hair with care. My biggest fan "my husband" absolutely loved the results. I haven't felt this good about going to a hairstylist in years. Thank you so much Wendy and we'll see you again soon!

Excellence customer service, the owner (Wendy) was friendly, knowledgeable and very professional…the hair stylist was quiet, spoke very softly but boy was she great at her work! There was no-doubt she was an experienced stylist…The salon was very clean, organized and comfortable…if you are looking for a hair salon that you walk into and feel like family, this is that place!

I live 2 cities away and travel a far distance to go to this Dominican owned salon. I find over many years Dominican hair owned salons understand my hair type far more than other salon and I normally leave happy with my hair final results, so I am willing to go the distance. The staff at Silhouette Hair by Wendy are friendly, the salon is immaculate and the service is good. Happy I found this salon.
On my 2 visits stylist Bectzy has always taken care of my hair and on the two occasions she did a great job. #happycustomer
