I find Aikido of South Florida very traditional and disciplined, which is what I looked for in a dojo. Sensei Stephanie is a very good instructor. She's tough, but patient and caring. She's very straight forward.

The dojo is very clean and has a great group of Aikidokas to work with. The BBQs were great. Aikidokas would come from around the world. That's a great testament to Sensei Stephanie's character.“

I am new to Fight Lyfe and I needed a new aftercare/summer camp when my child's aftercare/summer camp closed down in the middle of the summer. When I spoke with Cori his infectious love for what he does was so apparent over the phone, that I just had to meet him and also check out the place. He is so warm and welcoming, which put my heart at ease to know that I found a place that has someone who thinks of my child as their own so as he says we will coparent. I LOVE THAT because I know when I drop my child off she will be living her best life safely. I don't mention much about the karate because my daughter is new to this style of karate and she is learning but it is a great space with wonderful people and a precious little mascot☺️. “I’ve been a part of Atemi Ryu Jujitsu for sixteen years now and I have never seen a more intense dojo that pays as much attention to detail as we do. Grandmaster Chenique and Grandmaster Auturo (among other instructors) really know how to push someone past their limits and get the absolute best out of them. It took me almost 7 years to get my black belt but that’s what you want. It’s not the type of dojo where you just pay your money, show up to class and then they just hand you a belt. You have to earn it…the old fashioned way!!

I love the tradition, structure and organization of this dojo, as well. I can assure you that if you listen to the instructors, trust the techniques they teach you and give it your all, then you will walk out of there feeling extremely confident in your ability to handle yourself against anyone or anything and make it home to your family.
