I was going to use William for a PLAYSET to be put together on December 22 2025 he requested I send him half of the deposit to put me on the schedule and secure the date, not for materials not for labor nothing to do with the actual job. I sent the money via Zelle after that I asked for a contract to be sent to my email. He ignored my text. I texted him a few more times and he never sent the contract. I texted him explaining we were no longer going to be using him and asked for my deposit back. He called me the next day basically screaming at me telling me I was pestering him, and I was being a narcissist. He told me the deposit money I put down was tied up in other materials for another job. He said he knew the law and legally he did not have to return that money. The $240 has still yet to be sent back to me. This guy is a con artist.
He's an actual thief. He said he needed a deposit to afford materials for a job, received a payment totaling several hundred dollars in cash, and then he fell off the face of the planet. Calls were ignored, as were texts and emails. Months passed - Not a peep. He robbed me and then turned into a ghost. Don't trust him, and if you decide to hire him for something despite my own experience, absolutely do not leave him unattended.
I hired William to do quite a few jobs at our investment property and at first everything was good. We were happy with his work. I had one last job for William to do and we agreed on a price and he knew when it needed done. I gave William a check for $462 which he cashed and then did not respond to me for a week. I called and texted him multiple times with no response so I ended up having to hire someone else for the job. Finally when he did call me back I told him how I hired someone else and I would like my money back for the job he did not even start. He got very huffy and told me he could not return the money but he would credit it for future jobs. William basically stole our $462 because why would I want to keep working with someone who disappears for a week and then refuses to refund money for work he did not do? I am very unhappy about this entire situation and saddened to see our work relationship go down the drain over $400. I paid William thousands of dollars in the previous weeks for odd jobs and he pulls something like this over $462. I would like my money back William.
