“My sister, who also has pcos, recommended her to me, and like my sister I give her 5/5.<br><br>Today will be my third session of electrolysis on my facial hair (lip, chin, neck, cheeks, next will be the unibrow) and there is an immediate difference, even after the first appointment. I’m talking less hairs growing in, hairs that do grow in are lighter and thinner, and it’s a monumental relief.<br><br>I’m 26 and I’ve been dealing with this since I was 12, and every year it seemed to get worse until I found myself waxing multiple times a week and tweezing everyday. Sometimes for forty minutes at a time. And then the ingrown hairs and irritation. I’ve spent so much time worrying about it and revolving whether or not I’d go outside on my facial hair.<br><br>The relief is monumental. Go to her if you can. She’s quick, calming, and wonderful at her craft. I pay $95 for a whole hour appointment and I go once a week. My sister goes more like once a month for fifteen minutes so she pays a lot less. It all depends on your financial situation and how much time you have, but if you can you should do it!<br><br>One thing: It hurts. My sister doesn’t do numbing cream so she can only handle 15 minutes at a time at maximum. I buy 5% lidocaine off Amazon and put on a thick layer an hour before my appointment and then cover it with plastic wrap. Get the one that people typically use for tattoos. In some areas where I didn’t put as much I felt some pain, but tolerable, definitely wayyyyy less than without it, and in other areas where I put more I felt nothing, almost fell asleep.<br><br>And your skin will be red and very irritated right after. It should look 90% better a few hours later or the next day, and then it’ll heal another day or two later, and then dull scabbing for a few days more. Each week I’m cleared up by my next appointment and the recovery gets quicker every time.<br><br>There, now you know everything that I wanted to know beforehand. Now go do it!!”
