Dr. Barry who is an associate of Dr. Holbrook specifically told me that the fillings (9 of them) that she prescribed progressed beyond the enamel layer into the denton layer. She said once that happens, the decay can proceed rapidly to the root. I went to a new dentist since we are moving and he said that he would not have filled any of the spots that Dr. Barry prescribed. In evaluating the same dental xray, I asked him if they went into the denton and he said that they did not. He told me that if you keep proper dental hygiene then those spots may never have gotten any worse.
