Do an excellent job at figuring out how one's eyes are. Very clear explanations. Highly recommended. Wish they still did basic vision testing and wrote eyeglasses prescriptions, but few opthalmologists do that these days.
I loved the doctor, who took the time to really explain things, the staff were all great. The only thing that made me hesitate was that they charge an additional $400 office visit (per eye) for their cataract surgery. I guess it was a way to get paid an additional fee over & above what Humana pays.
Under the circumstances yes ,my experience with Dr Cabanellas ,,,was great.First I called another highly rated ophthalmologist office at the recommendation of my optometrist, Dr .Erin konansburg, and they after finding out I didn't have insurance ,,that they didn't have an opening until October, and recommended I go to my primary Doctor.I had told them I had ,had shingles on my eye lid several weeks before I noticed the discomfort and blurring inside the eye and my optometrist had recommended them to be the doctor to possibly treat any damage that may be there.
