I graduated from the Nail Specialist program in 1991, passed the board exam, and received my license that same year. Recently, when I faced challenges with the board in proving my education completion to renew my expired Florida license, since returning to the state. Boca Beauty Academy stepped up to help. Despite the changes in ownership and the legal requirement to keep records for only 15 years, the staff went above and beyond to assist me. Special thanks to Lettie, who took on the role of administrator while the usual administrator was out of the office. She provided exceptional support and helped me navigate the frustrating out of state transferance licensure process with ease. Don't let anyone tell you that you're "just a hairdresser" or "just a nail tech." This is a rewarding and profitable profession that demands dedication and education to excel.
