I was so nervous about getting my haircut. As us curly girls know, our hair is incredibly specific, and one bad haircut can set you back years.

Not only does Kristin truly know her craft, but she took the time to really listen to what I wanted, the shape I was trying to achieve, and my personal curl journey. I was lucky enough to have my best friend cut my hair for 15 years before she moved away. I could walk out of the salon with soaking wet hair and know I had a perfectly consistent cut every single time.

After she moved, I tried another stylist who didn’t specialize in curly hair. Over time, my curls lost their shape, my part started drifting, and the little front pieces I love to leave out when I throw my hair up completely disappeared. Living in Florida, my hair goes up within minutes of drying, so having those face-framing curls is something I absolutely love.

If you’re on the fence about booking with Kristin because you have curly hair…don’t be. Book the appointment! I’m confident I’ve finally found someone who truly understands that curly hair is completely different and deserves to be cut and treated that way.

Watching my curls transform and come back to life during my appointment was honestly incredible. On top of that, Kristin is one of the kindest people I’ve met. From the moment I sat in her chair, it felt like I was catching up with an old friend. She has such a warm, genuine personality, and you can tell she truly cares about her clients.

I’m beyond happy to have shape, movement, and life back in my curls. I can’t wait to see how they continue to improve with each visit. Kristin has a client for life, and I will forever recommend her to anyone with curly hair.

“We bring our boys to Kristin Slicker. They are 6 and 9 and their hair always looks suuupppeeerrr cute when she’s done!!! My son and I have naturally curly hair and have been traumatized by well meaning people who don’t understand that curly hair is its owm thing. She also does my extensions. The prices there are not a strain on the wallet like other salons. Very reasonable, salon is clean and spacious, but not overwhelming. Everyone there is super friendly. I get base color, foils, shampoo, style and cut. Shannon is 10/10! Funny as hell too!?“
