“Mr. Handyman is a class act. They were in contact with me from the minute I said yes to the work that I needed to be done. I was informed with a picture and a text of who was coming and he was on his way. Prompt!. Derek was polite, knowledgeable, communicative and a pleasure to have come work for me. “I had a hard time finding someone both qualified and willing to do build-back work (furring strips, vapor barrier, drywall and texture) following mold remediation in my living room. The Handyman Company was very responsive so I went with them. They scheduled someone to come out to start the job within a couple of days of me accepting the proposal.

Patrick worked full days and did a lot of work to put everything back so you could barely tell the walls had been cut out and gutted. He kept everything very clean throughout the process. I recommend Patrick.

I attached a photo of a portion of the finished job. (Priming and painting wasn’t in the scope of work. I’m doing that myself.)

The only complaint I have is the person who quoted the job (not Patrick) under-quoted materials by a lot. The actual materials I was billed for were more than double the estimate, but I looked at the receipts and the overages were bad estimating, not bad purchases.

Edit: Within a few days of job completion several of the drywall seams cracked. I called The Handyman Company for a warranty claim. They sent Patrick back out to fix it. I asked Patrick to remove the mesh tape that he used on those seams and replace it with the paper tape that I already had. He said that was too much work and he wasn't going to do that. Instead he caulked the cracks, which I'm not pleased with.“
