About Wilmington VA Medical Center
Wilmington VA Medical Center has received mixed reviews from its patients. Many individuals have praised the staff for their dedication and professionalism. One reviewer highlighted the exceptional care provided by the GI department, noting the friendly and respectful attitude of the entire team, which made their experience comfortable. Another patient expressed gratitude for the attentive care given to their 92-year-old father, who was treated for pneumonia and the flu. However, some concerns have been raised regarding the quality of care. A patient with a brain injury reported feeling disrespected and frustrated by staff members who seemed dissatisfied with their jobs. This individual emphasized the importance of treating veterans with respect, given their service to the country. Overall, the medical center is recognized for its caring and attentive clinicians, who strive to provide the best possible support to their patients. While many have had positive experiences, there are calls for the staff to maintain a respectful and understanding attitude. The hospital's main priority remains to serve veterans, and efforts are made to ensure their needs are met with compassion and professionalism.

Feel you should know the women’s center(ms Amy, Dr Dunham), Dental (Courtney, Donna - Dr Nick), greeting, patient advocate is actually real if you want/need communication through them is better then the general staff cause they handle business the actual hospital side is in and out at a beautiful pace it’s worth the drive rather than public hospital for sure very friendly staff. I’m blessed to have taken patients there and go here myself. Team Wilmington shout out to the few that have made my care and others a priority! Thank YOU

This was an issue for 9 months, he and his team member Jenny got this done in 30 minutes.
