First impressions matter, and this one certainly missed the mark. I recently reached out to Vidells Day Spa & the owner Videll answered. I asked a few simple questions regarding prices and services. Being new to Delaware and looking for a consistent wax specialist but my experience here was very disappointing. Videll’s tone was curt, and her “matter-of-fact” attitude was unwelcoming and dismissive for all of the 4 minutes we spoke. As someone genuinely interested in becoming a regular client, I expected a more professional and friendly approach. Instead, her demeanor left me feeling uncomfortable and uninterested in booking any services.
After being a client for 4+ years I noticed my $125/60 minute massages getting shorter and shorter. Sometimes more than 10 minutes. I finally decided to say something since she raised her price this year especially. She got very snoody with me as soon as I said something and said "nothing is ever said when I go longer.", which I had noticed for months was not the case so I spoke up and said that I hadn't noticed that in awhile. She then said oh well there's time for setup and takedown since it's an outcall (which had never been that way before), and as I once again rebuked her saying that for $120 it should be a full hour. At that point she got even more unprofessional and rude and said "I charge $125"...and as I said 120-125, same thing she decided to cut short the 8 minute massage she started giving me IN MY WHEELCHAIR (VERY DEMEANING WHEN BOT okD) and say "OK I'm leaving where's my money." At which point I told her to get the F out of my house and never come back. To have the audacity to be rude to a 4 year client not to mention the 20 years my family has been using her, shows she has no respect or loyalty to her customers. She proceeded to moon me on her way out which I have uploaded to YouTube and you can see. It also shows the timestamp where she was short 8 minutes...it was an outdoor massage and you can't see the table in the video. Not to mention she is borderline proud of being a racist, saying multiple times that she thinks "she just doesn't like black people", which is evident by the dozens of reviews she has where I'm sure that plays a role. She needs to get a different career. If you've gotten so greedy that a few MINUTES/DOLLARS is more important than you relationship with your client you should stick to flagging. She even had the nerve to bring up that she never gets tipped when she is the owner and keeps the full $125. Your a fool if you think your owed anymore than that.
The owner was very rude when my daughter and her friend purchased a group and wanted to use her services. When I declined the service due to her rudeness she called back to try to argue with me. That’s so unprofessional. I’m glad we did not book her services. I can see why the business is less than 3 stars. Please be humble and kind.
