This gym is truly great. I am in town for work periodically and they welcome me immediately like I have been there for years. Stephen Plyler, the head instructor, is a gifted teacher and he is so attentive to his students. It’s clear that he’s vested and cares a great deal for everyone in class - even a guest like me. He trains with me regularly and has pulled me aside to work with me on my technique. His knowledge, movement and technique are exceptional. I travel to a lot of gyms and this is one of my favorites. BJJ aside, the culture and community he has cultivated is outstanding.

For perspective, I have been going to Elevated for about a month. I have no prior BJJ experience, and I was very nervous in not only starting, but also where to even go. Elevated has exceeded all of my expectations. The training is phenomenal, but more importantly, the culture at the gym is top-notch. Everyone is incredibly supportive, and willing to lend wisdom when needed. It is truly a family-like environment, and I would recommend this gym to anyone.

Stephen is very knowledgeable as an instructor, and he, along with his wife Renee and the other trainer Kevin, make the atmosphere extremely comfortable and welcoming. It’s also a huge plus that there are classes for everyone in the family. Definitely a wonderful place to learn self defense and build confidence in yourself, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to get into BJJ
