I tried to clean out the kitchen sink drain clog. Next my oldest son, who had some experience with piping tried to clean it out. Next I called a local company who did basic drain cleaning. Finally I called Roto-Rooter who did a partial but pretty good job. The serviceman was here about four hours and we finally identified the problem as an 8 foot length of piping clogged with an apparent dumping down the drain quicker oats. The service man had to cut through the ceiling in the basement to access the PVC piping where the clog existed. Harry quickly identified the problem and while the issue could not be fixed without a backhoe he did inform us what to do to manage the problem. Until we can replace the sewer line we will have to watch and plunge, but that’s better than cleaning up the basement.
