When we chose to move from Stamford, CT to Lewes, Delaware and searched but could not find the right house for us (we are artists and needed multiple studio spaces) we did not think that building a custom home was practical when we lived so far away. But frustrated with our search and as a shot in the dark, we contacted the first company that came up on a web search, The Lewes Building Company. We spoke with John Leebel, and learned of his company's level of care and experience and discovered that the one house we had seen and loved (it just needed one more studio space!) during our search in Lewes was one that The Lewes Building Company had built. We were excited to realize that constructing a custom home with him and his company was a possibility. We met with John and Kathleen Leebel and explored home designs with them. Again, their knowledge and easy to work with natures removed all concerns in reference to building our custom home from afar. We knew that they would build our home while we are remote with the same care and budget management as if it were their own home. Now, several months later, the framing of our house is complete and progress on the interior (HVAC, Electric, Plumbing) has begun and we can safely and with confidence say that not only has The Lewes Building Company met our expectations, they have exceeded them from all aspects - choosing the right home style, holding our hands through the architectural design process, communication, creativity, problem solving, project management, vendor selection and more. Thank you John, Kathleen, Justin and Jeff!! We are so looking forward to our move in date.
