Cokesbury Village is a beautiful and well-maintained retirement community in Hockessin, DE, set on 60 acres of gardens, lawns, and woodlands. It is a perfect place for the elderly, offering both independent apartments and assisted living facilities. Residents enjoy a warm community with super friendly and helpful staff who treat everyone as family with kindness. The property is very well taken care of and provides a sense of security. Many highlight the amazing and great food, as well as the variety of on-site entertainment and activities. Residents appreciate the life care model, which offers the security of meeting future aging challenges with quality service. It is described as a beautiful retirement home with a well-maintained property and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for all.
I have loved living at Cokesbury since 2018.
I could think of living here as the 4 F’s.
Friends: I have made so many good friends.
Fun: parties, trips, concerts, movies each
week.
Fulfillment: painting class, book group,
lectures, and various committees
Freedom: no worries about house
maintenance and knowing I always
be taken care of here.
This is a beautiful retirement home! I used to work for anaconda and I inspected their fire extinguishers many times. The food here is amazing as well as the staff. Their laundry room is pretty cool they 3 milnor 55 pound washers. And some cool dryers and an iron for their table linen. The maintenance staff is really nice here as well.
After a career in Long Term Care I know the challenges of aging for the individuals and their families. We chose life care at Cokesbury Village after many visits and much research. We enjoy the warmth of this community and the security of knowing our aging challenges will be met here with the same kindness and quality of service we have experienced in independent living without dealing with the crippling costs long long term care purchased ala carte or burdening our adult children.Moving and downsizing is never easy but we are glad we did.
