The initial assessment by the nurse was exactly what my wife needed. Kelly was very thorough. She was proactive and provided all the initial support that we needed. I know it is early in the recovery process, but we are very optimistic that Amedisys Home Health Care will provide all the support needed.
I was referred to amedisys my my physician who I highly respect. He felt that after hip replacement and I am in my 70's some home pt would be helpful. First of all, they called us the same day we were referred. Then she was able to come that same week, in a matter of days. The pt person was on top of the doctors orders and knew exactly what to help me with. Primarily walking is the thetapy, but she gave us so many little extra hints of help and advice and served as my cheer leader! I was also impressed that my pt person had been with them well over 10 years. Her experience was so valuable to my recovery.
