Loving every minute of training at First State BJJ. First State is not just a great place to learn martial arts, but it is also a fantastic community of supportive people. While currently battling cancer, I have felt defeat, stress, and weakness, but that has changed. After only a few months at First State BJJ, I now feel great. I have found friendship, support, and alternate challenges that have helped me to overcome many of my fears and also to strengthen my mind and body. I would highly recommend First State BJJ to all, but especially to those who are looking to strengthen mind, body, and spirit.

This gym has such a great atmosphere. Everyone is extremely approachable and enthusiastic about their craft. Never met such a wonderful group of people. Their classes are great for a wide range of experience levels from brand new to advanced practitioners. The coaches are extremely talented and humble. Always available to answer questions or just have a conversation about anything. If they don’t know your name by the end of class, I’d be extremely surprised. First State Martial Arts has cultivated the type of environment I want to train in and it really does feel like one big family.
