10 stars...5 isn't enough. Israel Mondragon is a hair artist/sculptor with extreme talent! I followed him to the Alex Provenzano salon from his previous salon because in all my 40 years I've never felt as beautiful as after he cuts my hair...and I usually loathe haircuts. I have very long/thick hair and I'm over the top sensitive about my hair. I knew I needed to chop some of the dry ends but I asked him to leave as much length as possible but make by hair bouncy and long layer with curtain bangs. I saw so much hair hit the floor yet my hair looks longer, bouncier and sculpted! It's gorgeous!!! I also got color. I went from dryer out brassy/rusty highlites(done by my friend NOT Israel) to the most beautiful shade of super dark brown, my natural color minus the gray lol He gave me a bombshell blowout and set my hair in Velcro rollers(bring your own rollers/pins) so I could just take my hair down later for my birthday celebration. Israel is also super gentle. I have a tender/sensitive scalp and hair appts are usually torture for me. I left the salon headache free and very happy. I was celebrating my 40th birthday so this makeover gave me great confidence and I looked beautiful for my birthday celebration. I went home, did my makeup and took out the rollers....I couldn't believe how pretty I looked!!! My hair was bouncing all over the place and shiny. Total transformation and I'm excited for my 40's now. About the salon: Small but beautiful, extremely clean and pleasant staff. From the moment I walked in I felt very welcome and taken care of. The woman who washed my hair was spectacular, I wish I got her name! She has blonde hair and was super kind and did the best scalp massage. I believe the owner Alex was at the front desk. He was very nice cool and friendly yet professional. Just great place all around. I loved the seats outside as I got there early and enjoyed my coffee right out front.
Israel did an amazing job on my Brazilian blowout. I’m now about two months out from my appointment, and my treatment is holding really well. Israel is clearly very talented, but he’s also thoughtful, personable and a joy to be around. Highly recommend!
booked with Nathalie because we have the same name :)She’s done my cut and color multiple time now and she always does a killer job! Alex is always there and friendly as well and has his own line of products! All that I’ve tried have been good, my favorite is the shampoo purple blueberry shampoo and conditioner! great atmosphere and they do such a great job on my textured hair!
