From The Capoeira Spot

Capoeira was developed by African warriors enslaved in Brazil and used to fight for their freedom. Today, there is still an urgent need for the liberating arts. At the Capoeira Spot, we empower youth and adults to grow stronger together. Our vision is to empower the DC community with capoeira's art form of liberation for generations to come. We have Capoeira classes for toddlers to teens to adults. Our teaching approach has been developed over 20 years. Through it, we create a space where people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities can learn capoeira and constantly grow. Voted Washington CityPaper's Best Martial Arts Class (3rd place and Runner Up) 2021 an 2022!
