I have meaning to write a review for years. I love this place!! One of the few family-owned business still hanging on in Mount Pleasant. Multi-generational and Latino, so awesome to see. Leo has repaired multiple things for me - pairs of boots, heels, leather sandals, a purse, a backpack, and a few belts. I took a pair of heels to him and said “please add 3 more holes, swap out the sole for rubber, and add padding to the ball of the foot” - came out perfect. Are the hours sometimes a little off? He’s an excellent craftsperson. Did a great job on my leather boots a couple years ago. However, he does not keep regular business hours. Have gone by 3 times during business hours, and he was closed without explanation.
This is a multigenerational business that has serviced my family for 50+ years. Their prices, craftsmanship and personal love put into their work literally has made me a client for life. I don't care that the hours are sporadic for now because I know the owner was involved in a catastrophic accident where he is lucky to be alive. I am thankful he is still around to continue what Mr. DeLeon started.
