A small studio with a lot of heart! Great instructors and a good variety of classes for all experience levels. They are also very honest about what experience level you should have in the class descriptions, which I think everyone appreciates. Bring your own mat, because their mats are paper thin. The space does have limits. Getting in and out of classes can be a little awkward, because when you open the door, you are directly in front of a flight of stairs and you have to take your shoes off the minute you come upstairs. There really isn't adequate storage for the amount of shoes or for people to take their shoes on and off, so be prepared for a little awkward weaving around. Also, the ventilation in the studio isn't great on warm days with a lot of people. But hey, if you're looking for a "hot yoga" experience, you're all set! Overall, recommended for an intimate yoga experience with approachable instructors.

I began going to Georgetown Yoga almost two months ago and I am in love with everything about this studio! I returned to the mat as a beginner and I was welcomed with more compassion and acceptance than a sometimes embarrassed beginner could expect. I am consistently impressed with the quality of the studio, the teachers, and the classes. Georgetown Yoga has become my place of serenity and calm; so much so that I am here almost everyday, often two times a day, because it is just that good! Michael teaches the Vinyasa/ Sunrise Flow class on Monday and Wednesday mornings and he is hands down one of the best instructors that I have ever had. As I stated above, I am a returning beginner and he has been very helpful in assisting me to become better in my practice and a better yogi. He keeps the class moving at a good pace even thought it is seven in the morning and it is always interesting! I appreciate that we are not just going through vinyasa's for the entirety of class, but actually working to achieve different poses which personally keeps me from getting bored, but also keeps my body moving. Even though class is only an hour long, I always learn a lot from Michael. I have also truly enjoyed practicing under Rebecca in her Restorative/ Yin classes as she is another one of the best instructors that I have ever had. She makes class very relaxing, but also helps you to find your edge! The atmosphere is always calm and she provides wonderful support if you have a question or require a little extra help in achieving a pose. I have also picked up a few tricks from her classes for things that I can do on my own to help relief stress in my body. Coincidentally, I attended Kate's Vinyasa/ Align and Flow class for the first time this morning and I plan to begin regularly attending! The class was faster paced than Sunrise Flow, but I still found it doable and it was a great workout. I look forward to begin attending her classes regularly and getting to know her as an instructor. As I said before, I am consistently impressed with everything about GY and so I am happy that I am able to add another class to my schedule! Thank you so much, Georgetown Yoga - it is a pleasure and an honor to practice with you and continue learning in this amazing space.

A fantastic class with a smart teacher Jasiri. Fun space and stairs, loved the windows and the close outside. It's an interesting touch. Had a little trouble checking in but that's probably because it was the 7am.
