My shoes look worse than when I dropped them off. He was supposed to repair where the sole is pulling away, then give them a clean and shine. When I dropped them off, he had me pay and told me he would call when they’re done. Two months went by and I didn’t hear anything. I went in to see what was happening, and he told me he doesn’t call customers. Then, he could not find my boots. He told me he thought they *might* be in storage and to come back. I went in a week later and he said he had them in storage, but he only did half of the work before they went in (???), so he needed more time to finish them up. He told me to come back in another week on Friday. I show up on Friday and the store was closed. I went back the next day and saw that he didn’t do what I needed, all he did was give them a terrible spray paint job. I will be needing to find another person to do the repair I wanted, and fix what he did.

I just got my shoes back. It has been 6 months of calls (he never returns the calls) and visits and “I can’t find them, they must be in the other location, I’ve been sick.” I sent a demand letter a couple weeks ago and suddenly he has them “right here.” But asks for me to pick them up in a week. It has been a week. They are not done. I paid twice what I’ve paid at other cobblers & will now have to take them to someone else to finish the work. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!

Terrible. Charged me the total amount up front. Took months and months. Excuse after excuse. And then didn’t even finish the job. Crook. Don’t use him.

Strongly caution against this business, because the reviews describing the complete lack of responsiveness, disregard of timeliness, absence of care for your items you entrust to them, and overall poor quality of work are fully accurate. If you do discount those reviews and decide to try out the business, note that it will be your responsibility to follow up with them directly and repeatedly - i.e., figure out when they are open and visit the shop in person, because they often won’t answer the phone, won’t respond to voicemails, won’t actually follow up with you as they said they would, and generally don’t care about the timeline for completion that they gave you when you dropped off your items for service - to ensure that you even get your stuff back. That’s separate from whether or not they even do a good job, which many other reviews here comment on.

I foolishly dropped two of my favorite pairs of shoes off, and prepaid, before I then thought to check the reviews of this place. It took him nearly two months to get my shoes done, and that was after I made repeated visits to the store to check on progress. He repeatedly blamed the delay on receiving the materials- which made me wonder if he hadn’t thought to order the materials until I did an initial check-in after about a month. He did an OK job on the re-soling, but his prices were exorbitant (admittedly my fault for not negotiating down or walking away). The cleaning/shining of the shoes were fine but not great, and he failed to replace the laces as we had discussed. He acknowledged that he hadn’t replaced the laces when I picked the shoes up, but disingenuously stated that “I didn’t charge you for that”- never mind the fact that I had prepaid two months earlier. The laces are a small thing, but for the premium I paid, I wanted to have all the problems fixed.
My experience wasn’t as bad as other reviewers, but he’s way too expensive and takes too long to do work that is at best average- I’m not going back. That will also be the last time I made the mistake of prepaying for services like this.

I can't tell if he is still open. I asked him to repair me shoes in June. Any time I try to pick them up, the store is closed.

I highly recommend this place for your boot repairs. He restored my Hyde's (Vintage skate boots) back to glory! This shop knows what they're doing and the pricing is very fair.

I should have read the reviews first. You will not get your shoes back in a timely fashion. I have an event that I needed my shoes repaired for. He promised that my shoes would be ready in two weeks and said that they would probably be done in one week. Here I am over two weeks later and my shoes aren’t ready. I have to head out of town without them. I’m disappointed and won’t be coming back. Update: I finally got my shoes back after about 6 weeks. He doesn’t answer the phone so you can’t call him before arriving to see if he has your shoes ready on the date he said he would. I had to just show up multiple times and each time he says he needs a few more days. I paid $175 to replace the soles. That is about as much as these shoes cost, but I figured it was worth it because I would get new soles and I know the shoe fits me well. Well, I finally got home and realized he didn’t replace the soles. He just glued new tread to the bottom of the old sole! This place is a ripoff!
