I had an positive experience at District Urgent Care. The staff was very professional, and the office was organized and clean. Myself and five of my children became ill, and I must have called around to ten + urgent care offices to be seen, and they either didn't take our insurance or they were booked up for days. When I called the Georgia Ave location, my children, and I were sick and we needed to be seen asap. The doctor was very kind to take us last minute and scheduled us an hour later. Once we arrived there, we had to be tested for covid ( and I'm glad they have that in place) that extra measure to kept myself, my children and other patients safe from exposure. COVID Testing ReviewMy family was exposed to a person with COVID-19. The DC Fire Dept testing sites were closed before of the rain earlier in the day. (It stopped before 2pm but they still weren't going to open.) I was told to pre-register online and pull up through the drive thru line in the alley for testing. Two people were working under a carport to keep the testing kits separated and each person changed gloves and sanitized before moving to the next car. Procedure: book an appointment online by filling out a short form and uploading a pic of your ID and your insurance card (just the front of each, not as a pdf.)They'll either call you in advance or they won't, you can pretty much show up anytime around their opening and closing times (9am-5:45pm).Once you show up you can either call them or just walk up and tell them you're there for a covid test, there will likely be a line for you to wait in.They'll give you a piece of paper to write your name, date of birth, and phone number.Once you're up, they'll just sit you in a chair, do it, and send you off.My test was one of the more gentle ones I've had, they didn't go in that...read full review
