I recently had a wonderful experience at Cobbler's Bench Shoe Repair and Keys, and I couldn't wait to share my thoughts. Located just a short 10-minute walk from The White House, this place is not only convenient but also exceptional in service.Upon arriving, I was greeted by the owner, who proved to be an amazing person. I needed to punch some holes in my loose belt, but to my dismay, I realized I didn't have any cash on me, only a credit card. This is an absolute gem of a place. I found them when my very favorite suede shoes needed some major TLC a few years ago. Transparent, up-front pricing, the work was great, and the shoes were done when expected. Skip ahead - this week I took some shoes in, thought it was a simple glue job but it turned out to be far more extensive to fix. I was quoted a reasonable price for the work by George (who is an absolute gem - soo friendly and professional to everyone who came in yesterday and today!) and I left the shoes for repair. Exceptional skill and professionalism! Through eBay, I bought a pair of Gaziano Girling men's shoes with a wonderful patina that happened to be a bit small for me. Peter M. (the owner I believe) enlarged the shoes and managed to shine them maintaining the shape and patina perfectly. Great work!
