Cardozo-Shaw Laundromat & Dry Cleaners is a small, old-school laundromat located in a charming residential neighborhood. The helpful attendant is known for friendly service, assisting customers with ease. The laundromat can get busy, so arriving early is recommended. The dry cleaning service next door is praised for its excellent service, friendly staff, and ability to remove tough stains at reasonable prices. Customers often mention the clean facilities, good quality washers and dryers, and the welcoming atmosphere. The place is especially appreciated by those needing large-capacity washers, which are limited in number, so visiting mid day or mid week is suggested. Overall, many customers consider it one of the best laundromats, appreciating the added dry cleaning and fold service that makes life easier. The staff and owner are seen as friendly neighbors, making the experience even better.
The attendant Ron was extremely kind polite and helpful when I came there this morning to wash a king sized comforter since they offer the large format washers and dryers. He made sure I did it the right way to get the best results. Also he sent me up to the corner store to the atm as they only accept cash. He was a wonderful man and made this a very positive experience. Thanks again Ron for the guidance. Just a few blocks down the street from the Columbia Heights metro station.
Very home-y, I really liked going here! It’s mostly elderly folks that come, and they’re super helpful if you need any tips or are confused, or even just need conversation. The prices for the washers range from $3.25 to around $6.50, I believe. The dryers start at $0.50 for 7 mins and you can decide how long you’d like to dry for after that.
Was hard to find a laundromat near our hotel and we got an Uber and travelled to use this laundromat. Very helpful assistant and took extra effort to make people comfortable during the hot weather.
