Credit where it's due: when I brought in my leather pumps, suede boots, and leather/suede purse a month ago, everything was in such poor shape that I hadn't used any in over a year, or even more. The clasp on the purse was broken and it was very worn looking, and the heels were completely ground down for both pairs of shoes. I didn't take "before" pictures, but as the "after" pictures show, American Valet does excellent work. I can't speak to how competitive their prices are because I don't know the current market, but $20 for the pumps, $25 for the boots, and $50 for clasp repair and cleaning of the purse, seemed reasonable or maybe just a bit beyond. This business is a neighborhood institution, always providing great service (dry cleaning, tailoring and shoe repair) at a fair price. The pandemic and the continuing remote work schedules have hit this business hard, but please remember they clean more than just dress clothes. Try them for comforters, blankets, curtains, and other household items that are part of your spring cleaning rituals. Just contact them if you have any questions about getting something cleaned. It's important to keep these small businesses in our neighborhood alive and thriving.

Fast but expensive???I don't know.. Maybe it's been a while since I've been to the cleaners but it seemed a bit expensive? My son had 3 short sets (6 pieces) and it came to $43 or $47 dollars, I can't remember? So that's $7 per piece... But they were fast. I dropped off late afternoon Monday and told them I needed to pick up before 3pm Wednesday bcz we had to catch a flight. They were done early. I called two other nearby cleaners and none of them could promise pick up by 3!
