This is the most organized, efficient, and friendly eye clinic i have ever been to. the staff is so kind and takes the time to talk you through everything, very short wait times, and big clean waiting rooms.

I was blown away by the low reviews for this place. I called with an eye problem at 10am, was seen at 11am and was out by noon with all of my problems and concerns fully addressed. The providers are competent, compassionate and efficient. Alex and the other ladies who were working the front desk were pleasant, thorough and diligent in solving billing problems I have been having. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful and professional. Absolutely worth the drive from New Haven.

I have been treated at the The Eye Care Group for 2 detached retinas, one in each eye 2 months apart. The 1st time I went, I was diagnosed by DR Skylar in the morning and he suggested I get the Cryro surgery done the same day, so I waited 2 hours or more for his availability to perform the surgery. It was a 4 to 5 hour affair, most of which was waiting for the eyes to dilate and the affects of the Novocain, - yes I had to get the needle in the eye for Cryro, but I am glad I got it over with. The second time I went a month later after experiencing similar symptoms in my left eye, I saw Dr Sugin, she performed the Laser surgery to repair the tear, that was about 2 to 3 hour affair. The followup visits I was in and out in about an hour. I think the Doctors at this practice are highly skilled, pretty friendly and caring. The reason for the long waits is that they often perform emergency surgeries which throws off their schedule. I believe there could be a better way to manage this....perhaps have all the emergencies done later in the day if possible. I believe they are very competent Doctors and would recommend this practice for those who have serious eye problems, they do care. I don't think they are after the money, their fees are reasonable and worked out a payment plan so I can pay over time. Only reason I gave 3 stars is the because of the long waits and the disorganization in the busy office.
