We had a load bearing wall removed between the kitchen and dining room to open it up. Since the ceiling was going to be open where the wall and existing cabinet and soffit were removed, we had them remove the textured ceiling and install recessed lighting throughout the entire space along with some new cabinets, a new microwave/range hood and new ductwork to vent it outside.
These guys are pros! From the first meeting with Jesse, explaining the entire process from design and drawing plans suitable for submission to the Building Department and the entire crew each day headed up by Tomasz. We hired HRD after meeting with a couple of different companies. The design process was collaborative as was the entire build. We never felt like we couldn’t ask something or couldn’t request something. That’s a rare thing to find in a building company. They never left to go to another job. They stayed through throughout the entire build until the project was completed which was very important to us. The workers that were here were careful of invading our personal space, but we’re really great to chat with. We would definitely work with them again!
We worked with HRD on our home remodel, which included taking down walls, a complete kitchen remodel, new flooring, and HVAC.
The initial conversations with Jesse and Keith were quick, efficient, and honest about what was possible in our budget. From there, Dave did an exceptional job bringing our vision to life in the design process while Susan kept the ordering process easy and clear.
Once onsite, their crew treated us, our dogs, and entire home with respect. They did an exceptional job keeping everything clean and were always sure to create as little distraction as possible. This was incredibly important as we both work from home.
