I had my first cataract surgery eight years ago with Dr. Solinsky. I came back to him again this year to correct the cataract in my other eye. Both then and now, it always strikes me how friendly and inclusive this practice is! The staff and patients both are largely from Hartford and West Hartford. Spanish-speaking patients find Spanish-speaking technicians and doctors. The staff reflects the rich cultural milieu of the community. And all staff members are knowledgeable, caring, and gentle. I give all the credit for this to Dr. Solinsky. He has truly built a wonderful practice! And he himself is a wonderfully capable doctor and surgeon, and an excellent listener. As his patient, I know that he heard and considered my priorities, and advised me with the ideal outcome in mind. I am delighted with my new lens!
My experience at the Rocky Hill Surgery Center with Dr. Alan Solinsky for my cataract removal: When you were young, and you went to a Summer Camp for a week, you met many new friends and made new friends. But sadly, at the end of the summer camp week, you had to say good bye to your new friends. That was how I felt when I left Dr. Alan Solinsky and his team. I give my Thank You to the Technicians, Nurses, Anesthesiologist and especially to Dr. Alan Solinsky for a wonderful Surgical experience.
Recently I was at the Eye Center and dealt with the Christian Bossie, a licensed optician. I was in need of new frames because my previous glasses had broken in half by the nose bridge. I was desperate because that was my only pair of glasses which I needed to read and function . Christina spent several minutes trying to see if she could match my lenses with the existing frames she had in stock. She was very persistent and tried several frames to see if they would fit my old lenses. Eventually, after much searching for several minutes, and trying numerous lenses on many different frames she was successful . Her persistence and professionalism saved me several hundreds of dollars and more importantly spared me the anxiety of having to get a brand NEW pair of frames and waiting several weeks for the new pair of glasses to arrive. I cannot tell you how appreciative I am for her over the top service and a very appreciative customer. Clearly, Christina behavior and empathy demonstrates a real genuine concern about her clientele . The eye care center is very fortunate to have such a wonderful optician who is caring, knowledgeable, a delight to deal with! Thank You, Peter Masonis West Hartford
