The work is good but then again other tailors I've used over the years did good work too. The only difference is the price. It's 4-5x what I normally pay and if you're not careful the price could subtly, quietly go up by a lot, for a variety of reasons, late in the process. 5 stars for craft and convenience, knocked down to 3 for sketchy pricing. I believe this is a cash only business.

It's 4-5x what I normally pay and if you're not careful the price could subtly, quietly, with a big smile, go up by hundreds, for whatever reason, late in the process. He's a man of few words so you have to listen closely. Again, in the end, the work was good but I paid too much mostly because Mario is local, I'm lazy, and he had already tailored my jacket when he shared that his efforts required an extra $150. This little "addition" to the price was delivered very matter-of-factly. As I stood there getting ready to pay, I had to choice to either dig in and say I'm not paying the extra $150, give me the jacket. Or pay up and take the high road promising myself I won't let it happen again. And I haven't. 5 stars for craft and convenience, knocked down to 3 for sketchy pricing. I believe this is a cash only business.

Mario did a fantastic job! Had a long dress hemmed with lots of fabric in a short time frame. The hem is perfect and he had it ready and waiting on time. Not cheap but seemed fair for job and quality of work. He's a lovely guy - obrigado Mario!Service: Alterations
