First time at this Salon... I bought a groupon for a cut and color wanting to try a new place. I should have ran out when I heard the stylist asking when is the color rep coming in because we are out these three colors! Then she came out with two different color swatches and took a long time with them next to my hair. When I came home a few hours later and my hair was jet black in some places that were colored against most of my own natural brown hair color I wanted to cry. I could unhappily deal if it was my all of my hair but she only applied color to the roots down the middle and my bangs. Needless to say I'm upset and look like a clown. Hair cut was fine but I specifically asked for something closest to my own hair color or lighter and now I have weird jet black roots. It's going to cost me double to have someone fix my hair so I look normal again. I don't really have lots of roots to cover either. I'm super upset. Don't come here for a color!

The staff is so friendly, and I'm never disappointed with my haircuts. I've gotten my hair done for formal twice, and Jill, who has always cut mine, my sister, and my mom's hair is always so accommodating. However, the past few times I've gotten my eyebrows waxed by the esthetician, she has burned me, and as great as the place is, the wait is ridiculous. I had an eyebrow wax appointment for 2:30, and at 3:15 the girl working took me. They need to have more people working, because I do not want to wait 45 minutes for a wax that takes less than that time.

I went to this salon because they use Aveda products. My first appointment was for a color and blowout. The stylist did a great job. I have gone back twice and would recommend this salon. So happy to have found a good salon.

I recently moved up to Trumbull and discovered this gem of a salon through a Groupon deal for Highlights, Cut, Blowdry and hair treatment. It is located in Shelton on the main strip, is very easy to get to and has ample parking available. Upon walking into the salon I was quickly greeted and offered a beverage. The salon is lovely and is fully stocked with Aveda products - some even at a deep discount from retail! Not soon thereafter my stylist Jill introduced herself and we hit it off right from the start. She is experienced, knows her stuff and I felt extremely comfortable with her - she gave me beautiful highlights, a great haircut and I left the salon looking and feeling great. I highly recommend both Jill and New Day Hair Salon and am looking forward to returning very soon!

I love New Day with their amazing selection of Aveda products. I just recently got The pramasana Treatment. Not only was it relaxing, and of course the wonderful natural scents, but it made my scalp and hair feel cleansed without feeling stripped. I also purchased the purifying scalp cleanser and I use that before shampooing, which makes my scalp and hair feel wonderful!

Recently received a groupon gift from my daughter for New Day Hair. Had an appt. with, Jill, who was very professional, and pleasant. Jill had colored, conditioned and cut my hair. I can truly say I was very impressed. Exceptional haircut, color was fantastic. The staff was friendly as well. I will highly recommend this salon and Jill.
