Reception has zero bedside manor and is very unprofessional. Definitely wouldn't recommend if you plan on having more than one child as they'll tell you they'll take number 2 and then turn you away when your newborn arrives. Wild. Avoid the stress.

I had a great experience here with my 2 year old. The two doctors were awesome, and they quickly put her at ease. If I needed to change her pc for any reason, I'd come here.

Marked my child developmently delayed in 2020. Had zero conversation with me. No follow up or action plan to help or referrals. I didn't find out till I looked through my child's chart. Last month he was sent for evaluations. He has been suffering from multiple absence seizures daily. No apology was given for the severe suffering mu son has gone through these last two years.No issue washer resolved for myself or either of my children until we'd eventually end up in the emergency dept. All concerns are just dismissed.

I had such an incredible experience at Middlesex Health Family Medicine, from the receptionist to the two doctors who saw my baby. They were all kind, attentive, and compassionate. They answered my questions and were so sweet with baby. The office and patient rooms are bright and clean. I am so happy I switched to this practice!

I wouldn't recommend Resident Daniel Hagglund as your physician. She makes you do unnecessary testings that you don't want, isn't sympathetic to situations, and its timely about anything. Strongly do not recommend. Everyone else at this practice is great.

Had a very helpful and professional appointment with Dr.Rufo.I was on medication for several years after some traumatic injuries. I involuntarily was taken off them due to my prescribing dr leaving his practice. I had been running in circles with 3 separate doctor's trying to get back on this medication. I was told to try more natural solutions, each doctor telling me they couldn't help.I came into this appointment skeptical of being heard. Dr.Rufo patiently listened to all of my concerns and was honest about a treatment plan moving forward. He's a great doctor and I plan to make this my regular doctor's office

I have been going to Portland Family my entire life. Even after moving to Hartford I still come back to Portland for all my doctors appointments. And I'll continue to do so as long as I live within an hour drive of the office! Everyone there is amazing and incredibly friendly and go the extra mile to help with everything you need.

I wish this facility was better, because of its location it is convenient. But anything I need from them takes several steps, several phone calls and they claim to “leave messages” which I never receive despite verifying they have the right contact info. And my daughter needs a referral to an allergist for screening to see if she still requires her epi pen. After over a month waiting for the referral, I call and after telling me “oh we left you a message” (it’s 2017, everyone gets every message nowadays that excuse is not valid anymore!) they then ask me if I know of any specialists who take my insurance. .... Isn’t that EXACTLY what the referral process is?? I asked them to tell me who she can see that is in my network. It took them a month to finally ask me to do it myself. So, we are looking for a new doctor.
This is the end of a two year relationship filled with subpar experiences. The first Pediatrician my daughter saw was condescending and I don’t think he likes kids. My kid certainly did not like him, wouldn’t even let him take her temp. The second was a nice, efficient young woman who we all liked. However she’s got no supporting back office or front office and I do not have time to do their jobs on top of my own.
