“I couldn't recommend this office enough. The staff is efficient and pleasant, the frames are well curated, and most of all, Dr Singh is a very high quality optometrist. He is so sharp, thorough, explains things in depth, and just takes his work very seriously. He caught very early signs of an unusual condition, normal tension glaucoma, for which he referred me to a glaucoma specialist opthalmologist. That doctor was so impressed that Dr Singh caught this, and it allowed her to treat it while in it's infancy rather than after I already noticed vision loss.“

This fab team treats you like family all the while maintaining utmost professionalism in a sleek space w/ a classy vibe. To boot, they have a really fun array of brands and frames, and they were so helpful with providing all the different samples to set me up with properly fitting contacts (after not being able to see all too well for some months prior due to eye injuries). “I have been seeing Dr Sklar for about 14 years now.He can make a prescription by simply looking at how my eye looks through the lenses, better than I can by telling him which variation of lens is better.I am at the point in my life that I value my time at a crazy rate, and ~40 min drive one way is just unacceptable, but I could not find anybody as good closer to home. (I tried some optometrist in Ridgefield, CT.) Another thing about optometrists in my geographical area is charging unreasonable amounts for glasses: we are talking $500 for _just_ a frame with ~yr2017 prices, i.e. before the inflation. Frames and lenses here are reasonably priced, and I can always find a nice looking frame within $300 ~yr2023 (and I am picky!).“

“What a wonderful experience with Greenwich Optics! Our 12 year old daughter needed an evaluation for some difficulty she was having with contact lenses. They were incredibly patient with her, instructed her on contact lens insertion and identified the need for a change in the prescription of her eyeglasses. Within a few days they had her glasses redone at a fair price. The many complaints about healthcare providers these days compels me to recognize the outstanding care that we received at Greenwich Optics. I recommend them without reservation.“

“Was greeted immediately upon walking in by the front end manager, who was also training a young lady. The tech handling the preliminary eye tests was professional, well acquainted with the machines and breezed right through them.... like 8 of them. I can't remember doing so many different tests on an annual eye exam. This place is state of the art. Dr Cindy likewise used state of the art machines during her exam. She also had direct access to the raw data and results that the technician had just gathered. Dr Cindy is young and very intelligent, will be practicing for many more years to come- so I think it's settled. She's going to be my primary optometrist. Afterwards, the same Manager, a rather attractive young woman, I might add- and her trainee assisted me in selecting frames and lens options. She was indeed quite knowledgeable about frames and lenses and was pointing out facts to the trainee that only a seasoned eyewear veteran would know. So, yep, as a man wearing glasses for 50 years- that sealed the deal for me. I look forward to returning in a few days for my glasses, and returning next year.“
“Excellent experience. Dr. Ding Martin Ma is outstanding. He diagnosed my problem and created a treatment program that works for me. He answered all of my questions ( and I had several) thoughtfully. He took his time and explained everything to me, I never felt rushed. I left the office completely understanding my condition and the steps I needed to follow to treat it. I've been to other offices for my eyes and I cannot say enough good things about Spector Eye Care. Each time I go to this office I receive the same professional, courteous treatment. “I was surprised to see so many negative reviews here. I've been going to New England Eyecare for over ten years and have been quite satisfied. My best theory is that happy customers aren't coming to Yelp to review. Also, some of the customer service issues from several years ago are regarding staff that have long since left. Both doctors are thorough and courteous. Cynthia at the front desk is a perfect mix of professionalism and warmth. My only negative would be shared by almost any brick-and-mortar eyeglass store. The prices for frames aren't great if you don't have a vision plan like VSP. But I think they're competitive with businesses of this type.“

“I've been going to Spector eye care for the last several years. Dr. Schantz, my Dr. at Spector has been great , thorough , attentive and totally professional. Ho hum visits, just the way I like them. Change glasses and contact lens prescriptions periodically, in and out of office with nothing much to think or worry about. Several weeks back she told me I needed to have a cataract taken out and steered me to Dr. Spector. Well eyes being my second favorite body part, I was petrified to consider an eye surgery. Simply put Dr. Spector is amazing ( that coming from a perpetual cynic). Not only was he patient explaining my need for treatment , he gave me several alternatives. Laser surgery being the one I opted for. Surgery was not only painless, he was thorough, professional and just plain great. My follow up the next day solidified in my mind that he really cares about his patients and their well being. Hoping anyone reading this does NOT need eye surgery but if you should, I highly recommend Dr. Spector for surgery and any of his colleagues for basic eye care. Richard B.“
