I visited Rica for color and a cut. She listened to what I was hoping for, clearly explained options to get my hair to where I wanted it, and we decided on a balayage. Rica was friendly and professional, the salon was inviting and well kept, and I walked out with beautiful color and style. If I didn't live so far away now I would be seeing Rica regularly.

Worst hair experience of my life. This woman has no idea what she is doing. She bleached my hair - turned it orange. If you have blonde curly hair - stay farrrr away from this woman. salon, specifically Rica. Just do yourself a favor and stay away from this business. The place is dirty with piles hair from of other customers. Gross! Norwalk dept of health needs to make a visit to this establishment

I have been a client of Rica for close to ten years now. I have come to her plenty of times not knowing what I want to do with my hair as I like to change it up from time to time. Rica listens and offers great suggestions and we come up with something new and exciting each time. If you are looking to change your color up, Rica is your girl, very knowledgeable on what will work for you.

I’ve been going to Rica for eight years now. I have a hair loss condition called trichotillomania. Rica is the only person I trust to go anywhere near my head. Any other place I’ve gone has either made me feel bad about the hair loss and pulling or not understood it. Rica has never done that. She has her clients best interest in mind always. She’s phenomenal. Not only is Rica amazing about the trichotillomania, But she always keeps my allergies and other health conditions in mind when using hair products, and anything else. If I could rate her more than five stars, I would.

I had a 10/10 experience ?♀️ Rica was so listening and cut my hair the way I wanted it and looked at the reference photos I showed her and the wash was so nice as well as her explaining what she was doing and why, and what things are great for my hair type. Haven't had a haircut in 3 years and have been dying to find a good hair stylist. I stumbled upon Rica on Yelp. Let me just say she did not disappoint! I was completely honest with her on my damage in my hair and my hair looks fabulous! Rica didn't shame me for my damage and recommended me a product to keep my hair from further damage! I am so much more confident in my hair now! She took these photos of me and the her salon is so cute! I loved everything about today! Thank you so much Rica! I will be returning here again!

Yaffa beauty by Rica Mendes is the best salon hands down. Rica is extremely knowledgeable about hair color, styling and it's products. She was able to explain things in layman's terms to me. I had my hair colored, highlighted and cut and it went by so fast. She's a great listener and easy to communicate with. She's friendly and very laid back. Because of my disability, she came to my home and that was so helpful. I look forward to seeing her again! I'm enjoying the compliments I've been getting by friends. Rica does not disappoint.
