This was, without question, the most insensitive and disrespectful experience our family has ever had during an already devastating time. Thirty-five minutes after learning my mother-in-law had passed away, we were spoken to in a condescending, almost patronizing manner, as if we were children, while being asked questions that absolutely could have waited. There was no compassion, no awareness of grief, and no professionalism. The obituary was posted last minute, adding unnecessary stress. Even worse, we were asked to sign the final contract as guests were actively arriving for the wake. To top it off, we were then pressured for full payment immediately after the wake concluded—an interaction that felt cold, transactional, and completely devoid of empathy. Communication among the two main staff was shockingly poor. They contradicted each other, information was missed or mishandled, and when these failures came to light, we were blamed for their internal miscommunication. Two of the other men (one waited at the door and another drove) were professional. A funeral home should be a place of support, dignity, and care. This one failed this time. Right now, I would strongly caution any family considering using their services—especially during such a vulnerable (and quite expensive) moment in life.

Lillis Funeral Home does a wonderful job taking care of families in their time of need. The staff is professional and compassionate. Amy the Funeral Director is Awesome.

I have to preface this review by saying that I don't have a lot of basis for comparison in funeral homes. But we just returned from a service for my grandmother and our entire family felt that the funeral home provided professional and dignified service that helped us grieve in our time of loss. The funeral director was attentive and helpful, with extreme consideration for our feelings and requests. The funeral home walked us through every detail of arranging the service. And on the day, the entire process from the facility to the welcome to the room setup to the final closing of the casket was dignified and respectful to our loved one. My grandmother had passed suddenly earlier in the week and so we selected this funeral home on the recommendation of the hospital. We are happy that we did so

The Mr Owner was rude and very disrespectful & like I had covid and had me sign papers outside an just down right mean for some odd reason after my relative died and the body was there I almost asked to send it on to another place after feeling shamed...I suggest doing business elsewhere if I were you ...he shouldn't treat people that way after a love one passes ..I was in total disbelief and didn't understand why I felt like a criminal.

Place a rundown dump with torn and stained carpets along with duct tape patched wall curtains. Some staff good. Overall the place is a great disappointment.

I found it appalling that I was handed my beloved loved one's cremains in a small cloth shopping type bag with an advertisement for Lillis Funeral home on the bag. This is inappropriate on so many levels I don't know where to start except to say---have some respect for grief stricken people carrying their loved one's cremains out of your funeral home. This is not time for you to place an ad or to hope the bag is re-used with your ad shown. What a disgrace and insult to my soul. How crass and exploitative of you. Dignity and respect should be paramount as should the emotions of the bereaved.
