I’m from Maryland and stopped in to train while in CT for a week. Everyone was welcoming and Rob was very gracious. It was a great training environment. Everyone I rolled with was super capable but also humble with egos in check. It was a great experience and I recommend to anyonein the area looking for a place to train.
Really cool place. I train in NJ, I was in town for work and coordinated a drop in. Extremely welcoming crew there. Very big space. Kyle the instructor for the day was very effective and thorough. We went through some handfighting drills with collar ties, then drilled some standing body locks and foot sweeps, then transitioned to straight ankle lock variations, ending with a Tye Ruotolo inspired slick knee bar from defending a straight ankle variation. Had some fun rolls with some great people. Would definitely go back when I get a chance.
Gym is clean and well maintained. The instructors are all top notch. Even at the busiest classes they take the time to explain techniques and make sure I’m learning them the right way. Getting myself out of my comfort zone and joining an bjj/mma gym was intimidating as hell. Everyone from students to teachers have made me feel like family since day one. My one regret is that I didn’t start sooner. If you’re considering starting bjj or have been around for a while and are looking for a new gym, this is the place to be.
