Yesterday (8/12/25) was my first tour of O’Briens Nursery. The owner, John O’Brien, is so down to earth and knowledgeable. His (11 acres) with so many unusual and new-to-me specimens, all methodically plotted, were a feast for the eyes. The grounds are so tranquil and just breathtaking. It’s obvious John loves what he does and it shows. Bonus, his free roaming friendly cat was happy to allow me a few pets. Thanks again John.

Outstanding place! An almost overwhelming selection of plants, and a beautiful garden as well. John is such a friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful person. We absolutely loved our visit and we plan to return.

I have built my garden in Bloomfield with many of John’s plants. Each one is a treasure. I love to visit his garden and I enjoy watching my garden grow! Not to be missed. It is a unique environment and John has raised Hosta plants to an art form.
