We called Ashley after our boy Beau had bitten a few family members and friends. We were concerned about having anyone over to our house and didn’t want to have to worry about what his reaction would be to visitors. Pit bulls have enough of a stigma attached to them as it is. Beau has been working with Ashley (and Jason and Nicole) for almost a year now and the difference is amazing. We learned how to recognize signs of distress and ways we could calm him. We feel so much more confident with having people over now knowing we can advocate for him and keep safe instead of him worrying that he needs to keep US safe. Ashley taught us how to effectively communicate with Sophie, a 2 year old mixed breed with lots of uncontrolled energy and no manner ( nipping, jumping and barking). She was highly reactive when meeting people and other dogs. Though not aggressive,, her hyperactivity was off putting for everybody. With Ashley’s instructions and guidance we learned how to help Sophie develop positive behaviors.Sophie is now a sweetheart with lots of energy who can meet new people and dogs. She contains her enthusiasm with a toy in her mouth and lots of tale wagging. She stays, waits and comes on command. We can successfully take a hike with her off leash.
